No — and this is one of the few genuinely settled points in machine care. Canned air and workshop compressors do not remove lint from a sewing machine; they relocate it.
What actually happens. The lint you can see is a fraction of what is there. A blast of air pushes it past the hook, into the feed mechanism and down into the body of the machine, where you cannot reach it and where it packs into places that then need stripping to clean.
Two secondary problems. Canned air propellant comes out cold and wet, and depositing moisture inside a machine full of bare steel is not sensible. Compressor lines carry oil and water unless filtered, which is worse.
What to use instead.
A stiff brush — most machines come with one — to sweep lint out of the race and the feed dog slots, working outwards.
Tweezers for compacted felt and thread ends. Lint in a well-used machine is not fluffy; it is pressed into a mat and needs lifting out.
A small vacuum with a crevice or brush attachment, which pulls lint out rather than pushing it in. Mini vacuum kits sold for keyboards work well.
A pipe cleaner for narrow channels.
Remove the needle plate for this. Brushing around the hole achieves very little; almost all the lint is underneath.
And do it often. Every project on ordinary fabric, more frequently on fleece, wadding, corduroy or towelling.

What about the vacuum on a computerised machine?
Fine, on a low setting with a soft brush attachment, and with the machine unplugged. Keep the nozzle from knocking the needle bar or the hook.
My manual mentions a lint brush only.
Follow it. The brush plus tweezers handles almost everything; a vacuum is a convenience rather than a requirement.
