and British stores and does not exist on the French, Spanish or US
catalogues.
Why this page changed how we build the site. This was the first Janome we checked, and the gap looked like an oddity. We have since found the same shape on the Sewist 725S and the HD9 Professional. Three models, three times France absent. We now verify Janome availability market by market before building any part of the site around the brand — and this page is where that started.
What it means for you in practice. Readers in France, Spain and the United
States are sent to a local Amazon search for this model rather than to a product
page that does not exist for them. A search is a valid page. A dead /dp/ link
is not, and that distinction is the whole reason we check.

Janome distributes through different importers country by country, and not all of them sell through Amazon. We have measured the same pattern on three separate Janome models — the 230DC, the Sewist 725S and the HD9 — with France absent every time. It is a distribution pattern, not a coincidence.
We would not. On a machine meant to last fifteen years, the local dealer and warranty are a large part of what you are paying for, and importing forfeits both. Buy a Janome through a dealer in those countries instead.
