What we verified. The reference B07RN8ND7D designates this machine on
amazon.de, .it, .es and .co.uk, confirmed on EAN. It is absent from
amazon.fr. The US sells it under a different reference, B0DRWBG4MG.
That is the third Janome in a row showing the same shape. We now treat Janome availability as something to check per market before recommending, rather than as a detail.
What the manufacturer states. Up to 1,600 stitches per minute — Janome describes it as the fastest home sewing machine on the market — a maximum stitch length of 6 mm, an independent motor, industrial-style threading, six LED work lights and a construction using eight sealed ball bearings. Listed weight 15.0 kg. Janome also states a workspace of nearly 9 × 6 inches to the right of the needle.
What the bearings tell you. It is the least glamorous line in the specification and the most informative. Sealed ball bearings rather than plain bushings are what let a machine hold its timing at high speed over years rather than months. A machine advertised at 1,600 spm without them would be a machine advertised at a speed it cannot sustain.
Where we would look before buying. Presser foot lift, which Janome does not publish here, and how the machine behaves at low speed — fast machines are often poor at sewing one stitch at a time, which is exactly what you need when pivoting a corner.

Only if you sew long seams — quilting rows, curtains, bags in batches. What matters more than the top figure is that a machine built to sustain it has the bearings and the frame to run all afternoon without heating up or drifting out of timing. You are buying the construction, and the speed is the evidence of it.
Janome distributes through different importers by country, and France is not covered on Amazon for this model. We have now measured the same pattern on three Janome machines. If you are in France, buy Janome through a dealer rather than expecting an Amazon listing.
